If you plan to graduate  May of 2018, you are required to apply for candidacy.  The graduation application window is now open via your My Akron portal.  The deadline to apply for Spring 2018 degree candidacy is October 1, 2017. 

For students who intend to complete this summer or fall, the deadline to apply for Fall 2017 degree candidacy was May 1st.  If you missed the deadline and will be completing your requirements either Summer 2017 or Fall 2017, you must receive signed permission  from the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, then process in person at the Simmons Hall first floor intake windows.

Substantive work as well as some administrative duties. You will be taught about being a sole practitioner (which is not taught in law school). Opportunity to gain valuable court experience.  Hours are flexible. Will most likely NOT be required to write memoranda of law but will perform some motion practice.  Responsibilities will grow as clerk gains experience. Would like to keep this person until they pass the bar and are admitted Qualifications: Incoming 2L. Must have good research skills, both case law and general web research.
