SELS Seeking Volunteers for Local Swim Meet, Sat. Nov. 14th

The Sports and Entertainment Law Society is looking for volunteers to help out at the Booke McMahan Memorial Swim Meet hosted by the Summit Special Olympics Athletic Club. The swim meet will be held at the University of Akron Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday November 14, 2015. Volunteers will earn general community service credit. Serbian Bar Association of America Scholarship

The SBAA provides scholarships every year to persons of Serbian birth or ancestry and/or their spouses who are enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States.  The SBAA typically awards scholarships in the following amounts:

  •         Two (2) $2,000 scholarships;
  •         Two (2) $1,000 scholarships; and
  •         One (1) $500 scholarship.

The Center for Constitutional Law presents a Con Law Colloquium The Origins of Feminist Equality: Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s Birth on Thursday, November 12th at 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm in Room L-151.  Elizabeth Cady Stanton was the leader of the 19th century woman’s rights movement, providing both the philosophy and the advocacy for radical reform of the state, church, and family.  This colloquium of leading Stanton experts discusses new research on Stanton and her contributions to the broader cause of women’s equality.  There is no charge for this program.  Please Register Here
