Protect Your Belongings

We would like to remind law students to never leave your valuables alone anywhere in the School of Law. Your textbooks, book bags, purses, laptops and other belongings can be easily taken in just “30 seconds.”

We welcome visitors to the School of Law and to the Law Library, both those associated with the University and those who are not. Having open doors, however, also means anyone can come into the building. It would be wise to always be careful and make it a habit to never leave your belongings unattended.

If you see suspicious behavior, please notify law school employees right away. You can call the University police yourself by dialing 330-972-2911 (if using a cell phone) or 911 if using a campus phone.

SBA General Meeting – Thursday, Nov. 1, 12:15, W-210 and 5:15, W-215

SBA will be hosting a General Assembly meeting TOMORROW, November 1st, at 12:15 in Room W210 and at 5:15 in W215 to discuss our upcoming events for the remainder of the semester and exciting new programs for Spring. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Pizza Hut will be served.

USPTO to interview for Patent Examiner positions – excellent opportunity

On Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th, representatives from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) will be at the USPTO-Detroit Office interviewing qualified candidates for an exciting career as a Patent Examiner. GSLA SOCIAL Halloween Edition – Wed. 10/31, 4-7 pm, The Office

Join the GSLA before the night turns dark and goblins, ghouls (and maybe a few trick-or-treaters) come out to play. We will be holding our monthly social at The Office (778 N Main St, Akron) on Halloween from 4-7pm. There will an assortment of brews and potions (cocktails) at Happy Hour prices from 4-6 as well as half off treats (appetizers) to fend off the hunger-pains of Halloween fun and mischief. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

The Community Legal Aid Young Professionals & The Blue Door Cafe & Bakery present a Pastry Class to support the mission of Community Legal Aid.
