PLEASE NOTE: The January 2011 Wills for Heroes program has been moved to SATURDAY, January 29, 2011. The session will be held at the Sheriff’s Training Center near the Akron-Canton Airport beginning at about 8 a.m. and ending about 4 p.m. If you are interested in participating in the morning/afternoon or both, please contact Prof. Carro at carro1@uakron.edu . The Akron Bar Association is once again sponsoring a Wills for Heroes event, next year, on January 29, 2011. It will be held at the Sheriff’s Training Center on Greensburg Rd. by the Akron-Canton airport. More information is below; click here for further details.
The law school community has participated in this event since its inception several years ago. Students may participate by doing intake and assisting the lawyers with inputting information into the computers to generate wills and other documents for Firefighters , EMS and law enforcement personnel.
You can work in the morning, the afternoon or all day. Faculty licensed in Ohio may offer advice. If any student or faculty member is interested please contact Professor J. Dean Carro by November 22, 2010 at carro1@uakron.edu.
