McNeely Stephenson Scholarship Opportunity

McNeely Stephenson is offering a $1,000 scholarship to first-year law school students for Fall of 2018. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2018.

Here are the eligibility requirements:

Scholarship applicants must submit a sample of their writing which has previously been published in a newspaper, magazine, professional blog or academic publication. It is not necessary that the subject matter be related to the law; its primary purpose should be to inform readers.
U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Commencing law school (1L) in August 2018.

Bunch & Brock Scholarship Opportunity

Bunch & Brock is offering a $500 scholarship to first-year law school students for Fall of 2018. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2018.

The Gay-Straight Law Alliance will be holding their first meeting of the semester this Wednesday, February 28th at 12:15 and 5:15 in L240. We will be discussing the plan for the semester, upcoming officer elections, welcoming new members, and taking event ideas. Drinks will be provided.

Join IPTLA and the IP Center Monday (March 5) at 12:15 in room 180 for a Lunch & Learn with General Counsel and Vice President from Proctor & Gamble, Steven W. Miller. Mr. Miller was formerly IP counsel for P&G and has worked in all aspects of in-house IP law from patents to trademarks. Proctor & Gamble is the largest consumer goods company in the world having nearly $100 billion per year in revenue. Of course, lunch will be provided!
