Social Justice at Akron Law
Join Professor Lee on February 15th in CBA Room 133 at 12:00 PM or CBA Room 139 at 5:00 PM to learn about the Social Justice Project. We will discuss opportunities to work on social justice projects including academic credit, pro bono hours, and more depending on students’ desired commitment level.
Come prepared to talk about issues that are important to you. Our goals are to understand your interests, foster discussion, improve study skills, and bring together like-minded students. We will begin the meeting with a substantive discussion on the Flint water crisis.

Please join the OSBA Juvenile Law Committee at the screening of Prison Kids, a documentary produced by Fusion Entertainment a subsidiary of Disney. Judge Teodosio, who is featured in the film, will be hosting this screening.

The documentary will be shown at the Akron Public Library on April 4, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. This event is brought to you at no cost.

This hour-long documentary features the efforts of the legal community in Ohio to address issues of juvenile justice and juvenile confinement. The documentary also highlights the personal experiences of children who were committed to Ohio’s DYS facilities and to facilities in other states.

We are proud to attend this screening in Akron and hope that you will join us.
