All first-year students (students who started in the Fall 2016 or Spring 2017 semesters) must attend the Mandatory Advising Session on Tuesday, March 7 at 12:50 p.m. or 5:15 p.m. in the Student Union Theatre. For questions, please contact Dean Fuller.

Several of you have asked about the candidates for Dean of the School of Law. The five finalists are, in alphabetical order:

Michael Duff, The University of Wyoming College of Law

Christopher Peters, The University of Baltimore School of Law

Geoffrey Rapp, The University of Toledo College of Law

Seval Yildirim, Whittier College School of Law

The Gay Straight Law Alliance, in partnership with the American  Constitution Society and the Social Justice Project, is hosting a People Power resistance training in partnership with the ACLU.

The training will teach creative ways to combat the current Administration’s discriminatory policies and provide attendees with an opportunity to network with other area activists.

The event is scheduled for March 11, 2017, 4:30- 7:00 pm. and will take place at The University of Akron, Student Union Room 312 which is located at 303 Carroll  Street, 44325. Max attendance is 100.

The American Constitution Society will have a general meeting on Thursday, March 9 at 5:15 p.m. in Law 141. Professor Rich will speak about Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights. For questions, please contact Ivana Zajkovska, President.
