Akron Biotech Patents Adjunct Professor Appointed Administrative Patent Judge

Adjunct Professor Kimberly McGraw, who has taught Biotech Patents at the University of Akron School of Law for several years, has been named to one of the newly created positions of Administrative Patent Judge at the US Patent and Trademark Office.  We wish her the best.  Unfortunately, her new duties will prevent her from teaching Biotech Patents.  When she advised us of her appointment, she offered to recommend other potential teachers.  We are pursuing that recommendation and will reinstitute the course if at all possible.

Copley High School seeks volunteer judges – earn general community service hours

The Copley High School Speech and Debate team is looking for volunteer judges. Our schedule for the year is posted in this email. If anyone is interested in judging, please contact head coach Shannon Rote at Shannon.Rote@Copley-Fairlawn.org

Judges will listen to students debate on Saturdays. The tournaments start around 8:30 and last until about noon. Individuals will need to bring something to keep track of time in the rounds, paper or legal pad to flow the debate, and something to write with. No experience is needed, we will train you before you judge your first round.
