Lucas Law Legal Leaders Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000

Application Deadline: November 11, 2026

Overview: A semesterly scholarship offered by Lucas Law to help offset tuition, books, and living expenses for students pursuing careers in law; awarded to one student each semester through the OVC Scholarship Network and administered by Lucas Law in Barrington, IL.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Pursuing a career in the legal field (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher (or provide most recent semester GPA if current GPA unavailable)
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. program through the Spring 2027 semester
  • At least 17 years old
  • U.S. students (implicit by enrollment requirement and firm location)

Application Requirements:

The Defenders of Justice Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $1,000

Application Deadline: August 5, 2026

Overview: A semesterly scholarship offered by Stroleny Law to support law or pre-law students pursuing careers as criminal defense attorneys or prosecutors; awarded to one winner each semester to help cover tuition and related educational expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current law or pre-law student with aspirations to become a defense attorney or prosecutor
  • Currently interning for or previously interned at a state attorney’s office, public defender’s office, or private criminal defense firm
  • At least 17 years old
  • U.S. citizen

Application Requirements:

  • Completed application through the OVC Scholarship Network
  • Essay of approximately 500 words responding to the prompt about your internship role and how it changed your thinking
  • Proof of enrollment at an accredited university or law school
  • Letter of recommendation from the office where you have interned or are currently interning
