SBA “FunRaiser” and Trivia Night Tickets

As we look forward to SBA’s FunRaiser and Trivia Night next Friday, April 26th at 7PM at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, we have some tickets available to students, sponsored by local attorneys. These generous attorneys have offered to sponsor student tickets for those law students who wish to attend but have not yet purchased a ticket. If you are interested in being considered for a donated ticket, please email Dean O’Brien: ab139@uakron.edu, no later than next Wed., April 24th at NOON. Ticket recipients will be randomly chosen from our list of students and notified as soon as possible. Thank you.

Street Law Seeks Student Volunteers

The Akron Bar Association’s Street Law Committee is seeking a few law students to volunteer at local high schools.  Street Law is a practical elective course taught throughout many high schools in Summit County.

The time commitment will be a couple of hours a month with at least a one-semester commitment.  The volunteer hours may be applied to the pro bono requirement for each student.  Although the time commitment is minimal, it is a valuable opportunity to get involved with the local community.

Please email streetlaw@akronbar.org if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions.
