OSGS 2025
Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd
What is OSGS?
Ohio Student Government Summit is a student government conference dedicated to bringing student governments in Ohio and neighboring states together to exchange ideas, build connections, and foster development across institutions. OSGS was first held in 2017 as a University of Akron Honors Research Project for a College of Business Williams Honors College student. It has been held annually, excluding 2020, 2021, and 2022 due to the pandemic.
OSGS 2025 Theme
The theme for OSGS 2025 is Passing the Torch: Setting up for Future Success
This year’s theme, “Passing the Torch: Setting up for Future Success,” embodies the mission of creating a legacy through mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development. In student government, each generation of leaders plays a crucial role in building a foundation for those who will come next. OSGS 2025 will focus not only on equipping student leaders with the tools and insights necessary to guide their peers, but prepare graduating students for their next steps beyond college. Participants will engage in speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities that explore the art of effective transition, fostering an environment where emerging leaders can step forward. By “passing the torch,” we ensure that the values and accomplishments of today’s leaders empower tomorrow’s leaders to continue the journey of success.

Don’t miss this chance to highlight your student government’s impact and share insights with peers from across universities!
