The Ohio Student Government Summit (OSGS)

The Ohio Student Government Summit

What is it?

The Ohio Student Government Summit (OSGS) aims to bring student governments together from across the state of Ohio, and into some bordering states! It provides plenty of opportunities for our governments to not only learn and grow from one another, but it gives many the chance to network with campuses similar to them.

Where and when is it?

OSGS for 2023 is being held at The University of Akron Jean Hower Taber Student Union on February 18th, 2023! Pre-conference activities are available for those traveling into town on the night of the 17th.

What’s it been like in the past?

In the past, OSGS has had a couple of different ways to connect with different student governments. Whether that be a Presidential Panel, breakout sessions, keynotes, lunch networking sessions, or more. This conference has connected with student governments in a plethora of different ways, and we are excited to provide a variety of activities for OSGS 2023.

What do I need to know?

OSGS 2023 is the first summit back since the COVID-19 pandemic, and when creating the theme and guide for this year’s summit, we took that into consideration. The theme for OSGS 2023 is Evolve, Empower, Elevate. It will focus heavily on the evolution that many student governments have had to do with the pandemic, how you have continued to empower students in a virtual/hybrid environment, and how you have elevated the ideas of your organizations to create lasting, impactful, and effective change on your campus.
