Overview: The Law Offices of John Morrison New Chapter Scholarship supports non-traditional students as they pursue their degrees. The scholarship provides $1,000 to help cover tuition, class materials, and other educational expenses for students whose paths may include returning to school as an adult, working full-time, serving as a caregiver, raising children, or pursuing education in another non-traditional way.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a non-traditional student in some way, such as being over age 24, working full-time, serving as a caregiver, or being a parent.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States for the Spring or Fall 2027 semester.
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online scholarship application.
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited four-year school.
- Unofficial transcript showing GPA.
- A roughly 500-word essay responding to the prompt: What difficulties have you faced in college due to your non-traditional background? What strengths have you developed from those experiences, or from overcoming those challenges?
- Applications must be submitted through the scholarship application page.
