Springboard! will be unavailable Friday, July 3rd, 2009 from 8:00AM to 9:00AM for brief system maintenance.

There will be an operational shutdown by Information Technology of all servers and services Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 6:00am – 12:00pm.

The May 13th scheduled upgrade has been postponed. The Instructional Services staff has detected some anomalies in the recently upgraded Springboard! test environment and will perform due diligence to determine causes and solutions before considering an upgrade to the production environment. 

The annual upgrade to the newest version of the Springboard! Learning Environment, Learning Object Repository and e-Portfolio will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. 

This date was selected because final grades will have been posted May 12 and the Summer I semester begins May 18.

Instructional Services anticipates the system will be offline from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 13. We certainly apologize in advance if anyone is inconvenienced.

As part of a software upgrade, Springboard! will be gaining some new features and enhancements. In addition to enhancements to the look and feel of Springboard!, the upgrade will include:

• Enhancements to accessibility and usability of Springboard!
• Enhanced support for materials from publishers using the IMS Common Cartridge standard.
• Enhanced Dropbox Submission settings.
• Improved search function within the Learning Object Repository (LOR).
• Enhanced metadata support within the LOR.
• Creative Commons support within the LOR.
• Import and export of ePortfolio items.
• Support for third-party tools within the ePortfolio.

This upgrade will take place on Wednesday, May 13. Springboard! will be unavailable from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the upgrade process.
